Description
This chapter explains why health education is essential in Ugandan schools. Teachers are often the first adults present when students become sick, injured, or distressed during the school day. When teachers and students understand basic health knowledge and life-saving skills—such as recognizing illness, preventing infection, and responding to emergencies—schools become safer places to learn and communities become healthier.
Health education prepares students not only for exams, but for life.
